How we handle your data
This is a pre-launch site. The data we collect is deliberately minimal, and how we use it is deliberately narrow.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms: your name, your email address, and any optional details you choose to share (such as your field of expertise or the ages of the children you educate, described in your own words). We ask for parent and adult contact details only — never children's names, dates of birth, or any other children's data.
Why we collect it
For exactly the purpose stated next to each form: to keep you informed about the project, the founding families waitlist, contributor and advisory roles, or an enquiry you sent us. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with third parties for marketing.
How it is processed
Form submissions are delivered to us by a form-handling provider and stored in our project records. You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — email hello@openeducationproject.org and we will act on it promptly.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The whitepaper page uses your browser's local storage only to remember that you have already unlocked the download, so you are not asked twice; nothing about that is transmitted anywhere.
Children's data
Safeguarding is architecture, not paperwork. This site is aimed at parents and adult professionals; we do not knowingly collect data from children, and our forms ask you to confirm you are over 18 where relevant. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
This note will be expanded into a full privacy policy as the organisation is formally established. Last updated July 2026.
